The People

Bonjour! I’m Molly the owner of the STUDIO in Frenchtown. I first discovered the STUDIO as a customer while furnishing my house on the Delaware River. I would see pictures of these fantastic LEE furniture pieces in my favorite magazines and was delighted to find out when I visited www.leeindustries.com that there was a retailer within 5 miles of my house not only carrying the line, but with really great prices and loads of other interesting things. Fate intervened and before I knew it, I was buying the whole store! As a former French teacher the fact that the store was in Frenchtown just sealed the deal.

I grew up in Delaware Water Gap, PA and I have lived in Paris, Milan, Annapolis, MD and even Fort Worth, TX! I am a Frenchie, foodie, lover of music, art, wine, culture, books, and people! I love meeting and chatting with my customers.  I want you to feel absolutley welcome at the STUDIO.  I try to fill the store with inspiration, ingenuity, fun and friendliness so that you'll be able to find treasures for your home or for gifts. 

My husband, Tom is a pilot who retired from the Navy and is now flying corporate. He is from Manhattan Beach CA and the Pacific Northwest. Tom is a sailor and woodworker who appreciates quality craftsmanship. He will keep his eye on the dovetails, double dowels, fine finishes, and other hallmarks of quality furniture for our customers. You might just meet him on a delivery if he's not on a trip!

We both love living in this community.  You will find us sitting on our porch gazing at the river or out biking and hiking on the canal path with our boys Mitchell, 14, and Brady, 4.

 
Michael, our artist and musician in residence, has a design sensibility and social sensitivity that makes him the perfect person with whom to bounce around your ideas for your rooms. His own home has been featured in Philadelphia magazine. Naturally, he helps keep our showroom looking great! Michael is genuinely interested to hear about your home and how you live. He can really visualize what you describe and help you find or create what you envision.  Michael is the assistant manager in charge of customer service. 

Brendan is our calm, unflappable assistant manager of store operations.  He helps keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, especially shipping and receiving. Brendan knows what we have in stock and where to find what we don’t. He will move about the showroom floor assisting you with choosing fabrics, accessories, or gifts and then he may disappear only to magically reappear with your purchases perfectly wrapped and ready to load into your car.

We are also lucky enough to work with Bill on weekends.  Bill is the host of the perpetual party at the STUDIO. He is a fountain of information, enthusiasm and wit!  He can fill you in on the latest, greatest merchandise and help you put together a great gift or happy hour from our selections!
